    Collecting For Those in Need

    Sunday, August 10, 2008, 08:17 AM [General]

Collecting for those in need We all had experienced hard & difficult times, but we generally try to make do with what we are blessed with. Sometimes things get even more difficult and we wonder how we are going to make it on our own and then we find someone who is in even worse shape. Someone who desperately needs help with getting something to eat and to pay the bills for the necessities of life and for the gas to be able to look for work so they can get back on their feet. Such is the case of a lady who was pretty much milked dry financially because of a series of bad decisions that she made while being blinded by love. She had never had to worry about the bills or where her next meal was coming from, and so although her resources were dwindling, she could not believe that she would become so desperate. But it happened, and now hongy, living in a leaky camper, trying to care for a guy who is no longer working due to illness and dealing with her own diabetic condition, she found herself between a rock & a hard p[lace. Added to the complication is that the government agencies have very little money alloted to them in her area, they are constantly told that the funds are all gone before teh 1'rst of every month when they recieve their allotments, and as the worker bees of those offices are only motivated to help known "good christians" or friends of friends known to them to be "worthy" and since she falls in neither category being a "good Pagan" shjhe is pretty much S.O.L. So we created a donations button for those who can spare a few dollars so she can get something to eat, and gas money to find a job to become self-supporting again. She just needs a life-line folks, she will do it on her own but she just needs a little help to get into a position where she can help herself. I am trying to add a donations button below, but if that dosen't work, you can find the donations buttons on our website; http://www.ladyishtar.org Donation buttons located on the Sanctuary & Comunity Circle Pages.

    WOW! Who wudda thought?

    Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 08:45 AM [General]

I logged in to Amazon.com this morning and was very suprised to find my first book, "A Handbook For Wiccan Clergy" listed as #73 in sales in its category. I would have never thought.... Then again I guess Llewellyn would never have thought either as they turned it down ONLY because they thought that demand would not be strong enough. Go figger....

My 2nd book, "The Wiccan Minister's Manual, a Guide For Priests and Priestesses" became live yesterday. I was hoping that it would have been available before the tour but there were several set-backs, so I guess it came out when it was ready. You can check it out here; http://www.authorhouse.com/bookstore/ItemDetail.aspx?bookid=50940 I like how the cover came out.

    Getting Caught Up

    Saturday, July 5, 2008, 07:27 AM [General]

We made it back about 2 weeks ago and have been trying to get caught up on everything. It is suprising that nothing does fgor it's self when you are away. I have also been getting caught up on a mountain of email, plus working with the computer techs at DELL to try to resolve a problem with our computer. Part of the problem was the E drive went on the fritz the other part seems to be an error or glitch in one of the programs we use to burn CD's & DVD's. I made a movie of our trip and one of Annwn growing up from pictures after replacing the E drive. But making copies from the program we like to use for that isn't possible it has a glitch.

The tour went quite well, we sold some books and met a lot of wonderful people. While we were gone Authorhouse had been sending me the galley & cover of the next book to review. I completed the editing on the galley and got the cover worked out with them and finaly approved the final results yesterday. It should be coming out in August.

I also created a new page in our website and posted a few pics in there of our tour with links to the store or group
